Tart and slightly sweet, calamansi is a key ingredient in many popular Filipino dishes and is often served alongside a meal. Calamansi has a uniquely sweet and sour taste and it adds a mouth-puckering pop of brightness and acidity to any dish.
I’m thrilled to bring The Tastebud’s Calamansi Barbecue sauce to you. It is a Filipino-inspired barbecue sauce based on my years of cooking and eating. The sauce is a tongue-tantalizing combination of sour, sweet, and savory and it can be used as a marinade, for basting or even as a sawsawan (dipping sauce).
