Description
Calamansi is one of The Tastebud’s favorite ingredients, but it can be challenging to find this Philippine lime fresh. Tart and slightly sweet, calamansi is a key ingredient in many popular Filipino dishes and is often served alongside a meal. Calamansi has a uniquely sweet and sour taste and it adds a mouth-puckering pop of brightness and acidity to any dish.
I’m thrilled to bring The Tastebud’s Calamansi Barbecue sauce to you. It is a Filipino-inspired barbecue sauce based on my years of cooking and eating. The sauce is a tongue-tantalizing combination of sour, sweet, and savory and it can be used as a marinade, for basting or even as a sawsawan (dipping sauce). I can’t wait for you to try and get a taste of The Tastebud.

The Tastebud’s Calamansi Barbecue Sauce is a gem. It tastes exactly like the barbecue sauce from my childhood—bright, smoky, and deeply satisfying. My husband and I are getting into weekly meal prep, and this sauce makes it so easy to add bold flavor without fuss. We marinated liempo and grilled it over charcoal just for fun, and it turned out incredible. One bottle wasn’t enough. We’ll be stocking up for sure.
